About the event
A room where capital meets bankable projects
Benin Deal Room 2026 is a closed-door, government-backed deal-making event that aligns capital with bankable projects under the Benin National Development Plan. From 16–18 September in Cotonou, it convenes development finance institutions, institutional investors, strategic corporates, project sponsors and public-sector leaders.
The Republic of Benin offers a practical entry point into West Africa — coastal access through the Port of Cotonou alongside growing logistics, industrial and export capacity. A sustained reform agenda and platforms such as the Glo-Djigbé Industrial Zone (GDIZ) are expanding opportunity across agro-processing, manufacturing, logistics and energy.
The objective is mandate alignment and a pipeline of government-endorsed, due-diligenced projects — built to move from first meeting to transaction close within six months.

Why it works
Built for transactions, not just conversations
Every element compresses origination and moves capital toward bankable projects.
For investors
Faster origination, a validated project pipeline, direct sponsor access, sector briefings, transaction-readiness clinics and a 60-day post-event action tracker.
For project sponsors
Get investor-ready and in front of capital — with investor-readiness feedback, documentation support and curated access to investors matched by sector, mandate and ticket size.
For partners
Visibility with qualified investors, thought-leadership participation and a role in transaction-readiness support — under clear transparency and conflict-of-interest safeguards.
Transaction-oriented format
Meet sponsors and government in closed-door 1:1 meetings. It's not a stage — it's a deal room.
20+ pre-vetted projects
Deal-room-ready opportunities across agro-industry, manufacturing, infrastructure, logistics and energy. Total capex potential USD 2–3B+.
Pipeline discipline
Inclusion in the deal book follows a readiness review of sponsor credibility, documentation, funding need, commercial logic, regulatory status, E&S and data-room completeness.

Frequently asked questions
Benin Deal Room 2026 is a closed-door, government-backed event for development finance institutions, institutional investors, strategic corporates, government-endorsed project sponsors, and public-sector leaders. Access is limited by engagement tier and an eligibility review.
Closed-door means that sessions and meetings are private and reserved for approved participants only. An NDA is signed at entry to the Deal Room so sponsors can share confidential project information with qualified investors in a controlled setting.
The deal book features 20+ government-endorsed projects, each with a profile covering the sponsor, sector, capex, funding need, stage, permits, revenue model, and diligence gaps. Investors review projects based on mandate fit, then meet sponsors and a technical advisor in pre-scheduled 1:1 sessions.
Projects are included in the deal book only after a readiness review that considers sponsor credibility, strategic fit, documentation quality, funding requirements, commercial logic, regulatory status, environmental and social considerations, and minimum data-room completeness. This helps ensure that the pipeline is relevant, credible, and transaction-ready.
Benin Deal Room 2026 is a government-backed platform that brings together public institutions and investment partners to support capital mobilization around priority projects. The partnership helps align the event with national development objectives and strengthens the quality and credibility of the project pipeline.
Benin Deal Room 2026 is bilingual and delivered in English and French.
To participate, request the investor or sponsor brief, confirm your sector interest, and indicate the project profiles that best match your mandate. The team will then curate your engagement and meeting schedule for Cotonou.
